A very structured approach to completing Data Science and Machine Learning.
Hi myself Kailash Patel. My professional journey began with a degree in Information Technology and a job at Tata Consultancy Services as a System Engineer. I always thrive to excel in my work and keep looking for new opportunities. During the Pandemic I saw a great opportunity to upskill my knowledge. I found Data Science to be intriguing, and thus in the process joined Logicmojo’s Data Science course. I secured a job as a Data Analyst by the end of the curriculum.
The course was great and covered major topics like Machine Learning and Deep Learning in depth. They have a structured curriculum with live classes on weekends. Weekly assignments and doubt-solving sessions were two aspects of the curriculum that I found really helpful. During the sessions in the data science training program at Logicmojo, I got stuck multiple times during machine learning and generative AI topics, also had problems initially with setting up projects by myself. In those times the Slack channel with peers and instructors were really helpful, they solved most of my doubts. For more complex topics I had one to one sessions with instructors and mentors. Mentorship was really one of the best parts. The continuous assignments and peer support helped me focus and learn along with my job. The assignments and projects gave me valuable insight into my areas of weakness and places for improvement.
The faculties at Logicmojo were engaging and interactive. The learning sessions and mentorship classes were beneficial. For doubts the instructors provided references, additional resources, and tips to help us solve the problem, they did not provide the direct solution in their feedback, we were taught how to find a solution on our own. This was a good practice that I think one should follow while learning data science. Apart from that, weekly one-on-one mentorship meetings were great for discussing my doubts and was the best feature which I can say, helped me crack interviews and upskill my communication skills. We weren't just practising interviews or having skill-testing sessions, here the Mentors assisted in presenting our answers that would go best according to our Resume and projects that we did. They shared their work experience which were helpful in understanding the interview norms and how the industry works. There were a number of mentors throughout the course and every mentor had a unique point of view to share, and it only made learning from them much simpler.
In the last month before course completion, Logicmojo starts giving job referrals to the candidates from our batch. We would have to go through a couple of mock interviews first and based on that we would be offered referrals. There were further sessions of resume building, behavioural interviews and communication based. Once I was through with these sessions I was more confident and adaptable to the interview environment. I became more assured and ready for the actual interview procedure with every practice interview. I cracked a couple of offers as a data analyst.
I am thankful to Logicmojo for providing me with such an in-depth curriculum. I completed multiple projects on machine Learning and data analytics, and have the best educational experience here. The type of job I'm doing now and the impact I'm having on the industry make me really happy, and for that I am grateful to Logicmojo and team.
