I attended the DSA course at Logicmojo. I didn’t need to complete the course because, within just five months, I managed to crack Cisco and joined the company.
My name is Priya Singh. I had completed my B tech back in 2015. There after I got college placement in Service company Mindtree. I always wanted to work for product based organizations but unfortunately most of the time when I apply for it either I am not getting calls or if I got the calls I will rejected after 1st or 2nd rounds of DSA coding rounds. So I stay in Mindtree for 4 years then with the help of this DSA Course. I was placed in Cisco as senior Developer roles.
I was searching for an online DSA course to prepare for coding interview rounds in MAANG companies. I tried studying on my own for four months, but due to a lack of proper guidance, I wasn’t making much progress. Then, I learned about the Logicmojo DSA course. It was a seven-month program. I had an initial discussion with one of the senior mentors, Amit, who has over 15 years of experience and is also an instructor here. He explained the program and curriculum in detail. In the demo video, I noticed that the instructor emphasizes techniques and the intuition behind solving DSA problems. Many companies in interviews also look for how candidates approach a solution, and it's great that the instructors here focus on that aspect. So, I joined the classes immediately. Out of the seven months, the first four months focused on DSA and coding interview preparation, while the last three months covered System Design with both HLD and LLD.
The classes were held on weekends, and around 25 people joined the course along with me. Most participants had similar experience levels, as we introduced ourselves and shared our backgrounds during the first class. The initial few classes covered basic topics, which I was familiar with, but as we moved on to sorting and searching, the difficulty level of the questions increased.
The instructor wrote code on the LeetCode platform, and it was an open environment where anyone could unmute themselves to ask questions. The instructor encouraged us to ask questions, making it an interactive experience. We were expected to code along with the trainer, and after each class, assignments were given. Our mentor specifically checked each candidate's assignments. I noticed that a few people, due to busy work schedules, couldn’t complete the assignments. However, the instructor insisted they finish them that day, regardless of work pressure. Although it was a bit pushy, I felt this level of motivation was necessary. In fact, this kind of push was one reason I joined the live classes.
I ranked 4th in the class out of 25 people, and the instructor specifically advised me to target Microsoft or Google. Overall, it was a wonderful learning experience, and I felt my instructor was the best for DSA.
Apart from Data Science skills, Logicmojo also provided its students with proper communication training. This make sure that we were confident in our answers during interviews. To reduce the stress of actual job interviews, we had a series of mock interviews as well. During my one-on-one mock interview sessions with my mentor, he guided me on how to answer questions and also helping me to improve the way I express my thought process to the interviewer. He also explained how to present my project work with a clear design so that the interviewer could align with my thought process. Any candidate who joins the Data Science batch with me can attend multiple mock interview sessions over the span of one year. Team wants to make sure that they are well prepared when they are ready to appear for interviews."
For me, the job assistance program didn’t actually start because Logicmojo’s job referrals begin after completing the 7-month course. In my case, I received a call from Cisco during the fifth month of my preparation, and fortunately, thanks to the preparation at Logicmojo, I cracked the Cisco interview on my first attempt. Since Cisco was close to my home and I’d heard it offered a great work-life balance, I decided to join. All my batchmates received job referrals from the team to product-based companies, and most were placed in organizations like PayPal, Walmart, Intuit, and Amazon.
I was very pleased with the learning environment provided by the Logicmojo team in this DSA course. The questions the trainers covered in class appeared exactly the same in my interviews. I don't think anyone would need to use another platform after joining Logicmojo. It covers all the types of DSA questions typically asked by top product-based organizations in their interviews.
