Hey everyone, myself Ayush Agrawal. "I am a graduate in Electrical Engineering from a Tier 3 college. I lacked in understanding of DSA and system design, which prevented me from cracking interviews at tech companies. I tried to upskill myself with free resources available on the internet, but I struggled to stay consistent. I also joined a paid online course for DSA, but over time, I realized I was simply memorizing approaches without developing the intuition to solve problems. I followed multiple YouTube channels as well, but they weren’t very structured in teaching data structures and algorithms.
The primary reason I am interested in data science is that, during my college, I started working on projects related to data engineering which i created my curiosity to learn more about data science and Artificial Intelligence. With the demand for data scientists job increasing day by day, I decided to build my career in this domain to grow professionally..
While searching on Google, I found Logicmojo and saw excellent reviews from previous students. During my search, I also discovered that a friend had joined their 7 months DSA and System Design course. I asked for his feedback and received very positive comments. Based on this, I decided to join the Logicmojo DSA course.
As the classes began, we started with the basics of arrays. I was already familiar with these concepts, so I initially wondered if the DSA course would continue at this level. However, I decided to follow along with the classes. After two weeks, the instructor gradually introduced more complex problems from Leetcode. I appreciated how he built a strong foundation with the basics before moving on to advanced problems.
Instructor repeatedly emphasized that the Logicmojo team’s goal is for all candidates to secure positions at top product-based companies. He made it clear that if you’re joining the Logicmojo DSA course only to attend weekend classes, this may not be the right fit for you. The instructor strongly encouraged every candidate to complete all assignments on time. Our batch consisted entirely of working professionals, including myself, and the instructor checked assignments for each student individually. This level of follow-up is something I hadn’t experienced in other courses.
Within two months of starting the batch, I could already see improvement in my coding skills. I was able to solve Leetcode hard problems on arrays, linked lists, and binary trees, as these topics had been covered by then.
Instructor is patient and addresses all candidates' questions before moving on to the next technique for solving DSA questions. There is a coding test after each topic is completed in class, and rankings are provided based on test performance. I would say the best part of this DSA course is the strict emphasis on studying diligently and completing all assignments. The techniques for solving various hard DSA problems are comprehensive and unlike anything I have found elsewhere on the internet.
After completing the 7-month DSA and System Design course, the admin posted in the group that mock interview sessions had started. They evaluated each candidate’s performance to identify who was ready for job referrals. Unfortunately, I didn’t pass the initial test, so I requested an additional month to prepare, and they were fine with it. During this month, I revised all the DSA concepts and recordings shared with me. After consistent revision and practice, I appeared for the mock interviews again and, fortunately, cracked both questions.
This led to job referrals with top product-based organizations, including Adobe and Intuit, and I was able to clear all rounds. Eventually, I received an offer from JP Morgan, following an interview I’d had through LinkedIn two weeks prior. I decided to join JP Morgan because they offered a competitive salary. Thanks to the team for referring me to these top companies.
I was part of the July batch in the Data Science classes. The team helped me during the project preparation process. I developed 8 projects as part of the curriculum and the Logicmojo team included those projects on my resume. After providing me with project experience certification, team referred me to Data Scientist roles at product based organizations. My interview process is currently ongoing. Building a strong profile is also one of the great aspects of the career tracking process in the course. The team continues to refer you to product companies until you secure a role as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer.
I feel the Logicmojo DSA course is very structured and takes a unique approach to preparing candidates. They start by building a strong foundation through basic explanations, ensuring a solid understanding of each topic. The instructor teaches us how to identify patterns to solve problems effectively. Now, I can confidently tackle any problem on Leetcode, whether it’s hard or medium difficulty, thanks to the excellent teaching guidance
