Hey everyone, my name is Sampada Vasekar, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Communication from Maharashtra. I am a 2017 graduate, and after my college, I worked as a intern in Bush Enterprise Pvt Ltd , after completing my internship I decided to join Logicmojo Data Science Course. I had a wonderful experience with the course.
I have always been fascinated by AI, and a series of events gradually led me into the AI realm. Early in my college years, I discovered that my interests were more aligned with the Data Science domain. In my third year, I attended a workshop on AI applications, which enhance my interest even more. After completing my internship, I realized the need for professional guidance to dive deeper into the world of Data Science. That’s when I decided to join Logicmojo.
As I was just passed out of college at that time, so I was looking for some data science course which comes under my budget, most of the other online institute for data science offering courses more than 1 lakh with PG degree , but I was specifically looking for an online certification course that provided practical exposure to Data Science with hands-on experience through a series of projects. I discovered Logicmojo Data Science course through Google and noticed it had excellent ratings, so I decided to enroll.
I was fortunate to receive a scholarship discount along with a no-cost EMI option. I am very grateful to the Logicmojo team for offering this discount, as I wasn't yet working in the IT field. Classes are there on the weekend - Saturday and Sunday morning for 3 hours on each day.
Instructor was really helpful in the class, he patiently answered all the questions of every candidate by showing everything practically in the Google jam board. He encourages us to solve all assignments. You will be working on projects during the classes themselves. I would say the Logicmojo Data Science Course primarily focuses on project work. Whatever is taught in the classes is ultimately applied to the projects. My group worked on projects related to Machine Learning and Generative AI. Working on Capstone Projects significantly expanded my understanding of the industry. The practical knowledge gained from these projects is exceptional. Practical experience is just as important as theoretical knowledge because it helps you understand how work is conducted in the industry.
1. One-On-One Mentorship sessions are one of the most important elements of the Logicmojo curriculum. Self paced learning is beneficial, but proper guidance and mentorship are essential when dealing with complex concepts like AI and Machine Learning. Logicmojo's mentors were always there for me and also boosted my confidence. During the one-on-one mentorship sessions, our mentor worked with us to complete our data science projects.
2. Resume preparation sessions started after the completion of the 7 months Data Science course. Most of the students in the batch come from a software development background and are looking to switch to the Data Science domain. During the resume preparation sessions, the team helps us build our portfolios by including the projects, we completed during the course. These projects are crucial in helping us land Data Scientist jobs in the IT industry. I also had a one-on-one session with my mentor for personalized resume preparation.
3. I must also mention the option to shift batches as one of the great benefits of the course. especially for the people who got some emergency in between the course. After completing three months of the course, I had to attend my brother’s engagement for two weeks, It's making it difficult to attend classes. The Logicmojo team allowed me to shift from the June batch to the August batch, so I could resume attending my classes regularly after finishing my work.
4. You have lifetime access to the class recordings, which you can view anytime. Sometimes, I had to go out on weekends during class time, so I would rely on the recordings to stay on schedule and not fall behind. Class recordings are also one of the benefits I want to thank the team for. They share the recordings on Slack right after the class ends.
5. What could be better than having someone test your knowledge through one-on-one mock interview sessions? After completing my 7 month Data Science course, the Logicmojo team arranged a mock interview where a senior mentor with 15+ years of experience assessed my knowledge in Data Science and AI. These tests are mandatory for everyone to take before the actual job referral process begins. These assessments reveal how well you understand the subjects taught in the classes.
From the beginning of the course, Logicmojo team emphasized that securing a job is the main goal of this Data Science program. They reminded every candidate in the batch that all the preparation tasks are ultimately aimed at landing a role as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer in a reputed IT company. For our batch, once we completed the 7-month Data Science course, the first step was a series of one-on-one mock interview sessions to assess each candidate's understanding of Data Science. After this, they initiated the job referral process.
They took my resume and updat it with the set of projects I had completed during the course, and then began applying to various product-based organizations for Data Scientist roles. Logicmojo team advised me to be prepared, as interview calls could come at any time. They scheduled interviews for me with PayPal, SAP, and WalmartLabs. Unfortunately, I couldn't manage to crack these interviews. However, the job referral process is still ongoing. I am grateful to the Logicmojo team for continuing to refer me to companies despite my initial rejections.
I think Logicmojo Data Science Course is currently one of the best courses available on the internet. The well-structured curriculum, combined with a practical approach to teaching each topic, is the best part. The Logicmojo team takes care of students until they are placed in their desired organizations.
