THE QUICK ANSWERProvisional editorial pick
For capability per rupee,
LogicMojo is my provisional pick.

I put the LogicMojo Data Science Course first when a learner needs live structure and feedback: practising a concept, getting an explanation of a mistake and revising the work are more useful than merely collecting lessons. The official page advertises a seven-month live path, Python, ML, deep learning, GenAI and mentor feedback. Exact SQL/statistics depth, RAG, deployment, personal review and interview-support entitlements still need confirmation. The ₹65,000 GST-inclusive fee was listed on the official page on 17 October 2026—still check the official fee section and refund policy.

I would choose a different fit if your priority is a university credential, regional-language instruction or self-paced foundations. Imarticus’s guaranteed-interview positioning also needs its conditions in writing. This is a disclosed editorial judgment on learner fit—not independent proof of superior placements. LogicMojo publishes this guide.

02 WHY THIS GUIDE EXISTS

The Backstory: Why I Bothered Researching This

In 2026, data science continues to play an important role in India's evolving job market, with organisations increasingly relying on data to make decisions, solve business problems, and identify new opportunities. But choosing the right data science course is harder than it looks. With so many programmes promising industry-relevant skills, practical projects, recognised certifications, and placement assistance, how do you know which ones are genuinely worth your time and money?

Many learners invest ₹50,000 or more in courses expecting to become job-ready, only to discover that understanding concepts is very different from applying them to real-world problems. A certificate can add value to your resume, but employers also look for practical experience, analytical thinking, proficiency in tools such as Python and SQL, and the ability to turn raw data into meaningful insights.

That is why I decided to research the Top 10 Best Data Science Courses in 2026, comparing their fees, curriculum, hands-on projects, mentorship, certification value, and career support. My goal was to look beyond marketing claims and understand what each programme actually offers, how well it prepares learners for real-world data science roles, and whether the investment makes sense for different types of learners.

Throughout this guide, I focus on one important question: Which data science course in India offers the right combination of practical skills, industry-relevant learning, and career support for your investment — and which course is best suited to your current skill level, learning needs, and career goals?

03 THE SHORTLIST

Best Data Science Courses in 2026: Quick Comparison

My comparison gives the most weight to curriculum, teaching and total value—not the biggest logo. The six pillars below also account for portfolio work, career support and completion flexibility. “Best overall” is not “right for everyone”: your starting skills, budget and need for a branded credential still matter. The best-for column makes that distinction explicit. Rankings are editorial; provider details are as listed on official pages on 17 October 2026.

LogicMojo Data Science Course

₹65,000 incl. GST Oct 20267 monthsEditorial 9.3 / 10

Overview and positioning — I provisionally recommend LogicMojo for live, connected learning because a beginner needs a sequence and correction—not just more material. I would confirm the first-month bridge and feedback entitlement before paying.

Curriculum — The official syllabus runs Python, pandas, NumPy and Git → SQL joins, windows and CTEs; Excel/BI → statistics, probability, hypothesis tests and A/B testing → EDA and storytelling → feature engineering, regression, trees, ensembles, clustering, imbalance, leakage and explainability → time series and recommenders → deep learning, NLP and transformers → LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, RAG and agents → MLOps, FastAPI, Docker, cloud and monitoring → capstone, SQL/DSA and ML system design. Tools also include scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch, OpenAI API and LangChain, plus Tableau and Power BI for dashboards. Provisional editorial depth: Deep across foundations, ML, GenAI and deployment; Ladder Level 4 if these are taught and reviewed hands-on.

Eligibility and prerequisites — Beginner suitability: the official page positions the course as live and instructor-led; it targets students and working professionals, with basic programming as the stated prerequisite. A newcomer should confirm the first-month Python, SQL and statistics bridge in a sample class.

Teaching, mentorship and delivery — Provider-stated on the official page (checked 17 October 2026): 115+ live sessions, 240+ assignments/projects, mentor feedback and 24/7 doubt support. Batches: Sat–Sun 9:00 AM–12:00 PM, Mon–Thu 8:00–10:00 PM IST; check the next batch date. Head instructor: Monesh (8+ years in AI systems); recordings carry lifetime access.

Projects — The official page lists 10+ real-world projects. Requested evidence includes SQL/customer analytics, A/B analysis, interpretable churn or fraud models, forecasting, recommenders, image/text models, RAG document Q&A and a deployed capstone.

Total fee, duration and value — Official fee: ₹65,000 (GST inclusive); duration: 7 months (~30 weeks); no-cost EMI over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months (interest-free with select banks). The advertised “from ₹4,500/month” equals 12 × ₹4,500 = ₹54,000, the listed early-joiner discount price, so confirm the EMI on the ₹65,000 fee. No bond or lock-in is published. Refund: written request within seven days of batch start (official policy, checked 17 October 2026).

Placement, career support and outcomes — The course page title references job assistance and its description references placement assistance; job referrals continue until placement. LogicMojo’s success stories publish provider testimonials: Ashish Anand (prior label: “Wiprp”; employer unconfirmed) describes a seven-month Data Science programme, five projects and a Data Scientist profile; Praveen Kumar (prior: Soothsayer Analytics) and Aman Lateef (prior: B.Tech) credit the data-science course for Data Scientist/GenAI roles. Salaries are not disclosed. These are provider-published, not independently verified. No placement rate or guarantee is claimed here.

Pros, cons, verdict — Provisional strengths: connected sequence; live accountability; mentor feedback; practical assignments; interview-oriented positioning. Best fit if you need supported Python/ML progression and can protect 8–12 hours weekly. Consider another option if you specifically need university branding, regional-language teaching, fully self-paced study or a budget below ₹10K. Scores are provisional editorial assessments, not student ratings.

Official-page observation · 17 October 2026. Official page describes a seven-month live course and mentorship. It lists the ₹65,000 GST-inclusive fee and 10+ projects. Do not confuse its assignment/lab count with independently built portfolio projects. Source: https://logicmojo.com/datascience-course/. Provider-stated on official pages checked 17 October 2026; not independently audited.

05 WHY THIS DECISION MATTERS

Why Choosing the Right Data Science Course Matters in 2026

Three checks separate these ten courses more than their marketing does.

1. Is GenAI Taught or Just Mentioned?

Look for machine-learning and GenAI work that is assessed—evaluated models, and LLM or RAG assignments with honest evaluation—not a couple of chatbot lectures. SQL and statistics should still be the foundation.

2. Will You Finish With Projects You Can Defend?

A certificate shows you finished; it does not show you can clean messy data, avoid leakage or explain a modelling choice. Look for original projects on real datasets, at least one deployed model, and human feedback you can act on.

3. What Does the Fee Actually Buy?

Add GST, registration and EMI charges to get the total cost, then compare live teaching hours, mentor access, project-review turnaround and career services. The ladder below shows what each price band usually adds.

THE DATA SCIENCE JOB-READINESS LADDERWhat your fee buys
01

02

Higher fees mostly add brand and career services, not a higher skill ceiling. Price bands are illustrative, not quotes. (Editorial)

06 BEHIND THE RANKING

How We Selected and Compared These Data Science Courses

We compared ten shortlisted online programmes on six weighted pillars. Fees, schedules and policies were checked on official pages on 17 October 2026. Scores are provisional editorial assessments, not an enrolment or outcomes audit.

Scoring pillarWeightWhat we check
Curriculum depth and currency25%Python, SQL, statistics → ML → GenAI → deployment
Teaching, mentorship and project feedback20%Live teaching, doubt support, human review and 1:1 access
Projects and portfolio15%Original work, messy data, deployed and GenAI projects
Career support and interview prep10%SQL / statistics / ML mocks, résumés and referrals
Total cost and value20%All-in fee, EMI, refund terms and capability per rupee
Access, flexibility and completion support10%IST timings, recordings, deferral and post-course access
Total100%Capability per rupee, not brand alone

Curriculum Depth and Prerequisites

We check for SQL beyond SELECT (joins, CTEs, window functions), statistics with hypothesis testing and A/B testing, and machine learning that covers evaluation and data leakage. Deployment (FastAPI, Docker), MLOps and GenAI must have assessed assignments. For beginners, we look for a Python bridge, a maths on-ramp and clear entry requirements.

Teaching Quality, Mentorship and Project Feedback

“Live” must mean scheduled classes where you can ask questions, not replays. We favour named instructors, planned doubt sessions and a human who reviews your own SQL, notebooks and code and checks your revision. Auto-grading alone does not prepare you for a technical interview.

Total Cost, Course Access and Career Support

Total cost includes the fee, GST, registration, exam and tool charges. A loan-based EMI or pay-after-placement plan (as Masai has marketed) is a credit obligation, so get refund and loan-closure terms in writing (RBI Digital Lending Directions). We also check recording access, deferral rules and whether career services include mock interviews and referrals. Outcome claims are treated as provider-stated (CCPA guidelines).

SCREENED, BUT NOT RANKED

The weighting decides the winner: brand favours upGrad or ISB Online, placement machinery favours Imarticus, lowest cost favours the IBM certificate on Coursera. We weight capability per rupee, which makes LogicMojo our first editorial pick, subject to its course details being confirmed in writing.

How I Researched and Ranked These 10 Best Data Science Courses in India in 2026

Each provider’s official programme and policy pages, and LogicMojo’s published learner accounts, were checked on 17 October 2026. Official pages show what a provider advertises, not what every learner receives; hiring and placement claims are judged against India’s CCPA and ASCI Code standards.

BEGINNER EVIDENCE · LIMITS STATED
Beginner Fit: What the Evidence Does and Does Not Show

This section sets out what the top-ranked programme’s evidence can support for a beginner and where it stops; the ranking itself is explained above. Its official page advertises a seven-month instructor-led path, 115+ live sessions, 240+ assignments/projects, mentor feedback and 24/7 doubt support. The combined assignment/project count must not be read as 240 independent portfolio projects.

Python, machine learning, deep learning and generative AI appear in the official syllabus. Ashish Anand’s provider-published account describes Advanced Python, ML, deep learning, computer vision and five projects. The course page links learner GitHub repositories, such as an April 2025 cohort repository and a November 2025 cohort repository. All of these are provider-curated examples, not independent proof of learning depth or an audit of every learner’s work.

Whichever course a beginner considers, confirm the actual Python and SQL on-ramp; statistics, probability, EDA and visualisation assignments; and progression through feature engineering, model evaluation and capstone work. NLP, transformers, LLMs, RAG, vector databases, AI agents and deployment need current module and assessment evidence rather than assumptions from the word “AI”.

The course page references job and placement assistance, but resume-building, LinkedIn review, mock interview, referral eligibility and post-course support terms are not published in detail; ask for them in writing. The published refund policy allows a full refund only when requested in writing within seven days of the batch start (before the third class). Request the invoice, timetable, reviewer entitlement and current curriculum before paying.

The right course depends on where you are starting from, so I look at your starting skills first, not at which provider is "top". Ask yourself one question: what is stopping you right now? It might be weak basics, no one checking your work, too little time, or needing a certificate an employer respects. Pick the course that fixes that problem. This is guidance only; it cannot promise you admission or a job.

Best for Beginners Learning Data Science from Scratch

If you are a complete beginner, learn three basics first: Python (a programming language), SQL (used to pull data from databases) and statistics. Without them, advanced topics will not make sense. My first pick for live classes is LogicMojo, but check that it has a beginner starter module and one-to-one review before you pay. Choose HCL GUVI if you want to learn in your regional language. Try IBM on Coursera if you want a cheap way to see whether you like data science before joining a bigger course. You can also compare other data science courses online.

Never written code? Try a simple test first. Download a small spreadsheet (CSV file) from Kaggle Datasets or the Open Government Data Platform India. Spend one week cleaning it and writing down what each column means. You do not need to know everything first, but you should know how many hours a week you can really practise.
Freshers: employers care more about real skills than a long list of tools. Focus on SQL, statistics and two projects you built yourself. Ask whether the course gives mock interviews on data science questions (see this data science interview question bank), not just general aptitude tests. Students can also compare AI courses for college students, B.Tech students and learners after 12th.

Moving from a non-IT job? Your work experience is a strength, so use it. Someone from retail already understands sales patterns. Someone from banking already knows the rules around loans. Add Python, SQL and statistics on top of what you know (see AI courses for a non-IT background). Ask whether the first month includes help installing the software, and feedback when you get things wrong, not just when you get them right.

Best for Working Professionals Changing Careers

Before you join, check the class timetable against your real working week. Going to classes is not enough; you also need time to practise. My first pick for a complete path from basics to job-ready, with mock interviews and project review, is LogicMojo. Choose Imarticus if a structured interview process is worth the higher fee to you. Choose upGrad × IIIT-B if an employer you are targeting values that university certificate.

Working in IT services? A company certificate alone will not be enough. Build projects that show your own work: a data process others can run again, a clear reason for how you measured success, and a model that is live online. Switching careers after a bad course experience? Before paying again, ask to see a real sample of project feedback and read the refund rules. Keep fixed study hours each week, and plan ahead for busy weeks at work. Coming back after a break? See AI courses after a career gap.

Best for Developers Building ML, Generative AI and AI Agents

Being good at writing software is not the same as understanding data. Your code can run perfectly while the model's predictions are still wrong. My first pick for live classes that join machine learning, GenAI and putting models online, with feedback, is LogicMojo. Choose Udacity if you already code and prefer to learn at your own pace with reviewed projects. Choose upGrad × IIIT-B if you have a bigger budget and want a university certificate (see also AI courses for data engineers).

Look for a course that teaches the basics of running models in real products before it shows off AI agents. These basics include keeping data in an agreed format, saving each version of a model, and making sure the model sees the same kind of data when live as it did in training. For chatbot-style LLM apps, ask how the course checks that answers use the right sources and stay accurate, and how it measures speed and cost. The best developer portfolio shows clean code plus a model choice you can explain. There are separate lists for Java developers, DevOps engineers, software testers and full-stack developers moving to AI; see also switching from software development to ML engineering.

Best for Non-Technical Professionals Using Data and AI at Work

If you work with Excel, dashboards or reports instead of code, your business sense is a real advantage. Machine learning does bring new mistakes to watch for, though: using information the model would not really have, a model that only works on old data, confidence scores that cannot be trusted, and data that changes over time. My first pick is LogicMojo if you want deeper SQL, model testing, putting models online and GenAI, with review. Choose ISB Online’s Applied Business Analytics if you want business analytics without coding. Intellipaat’s matching course may suit you if you want Power BI plus machine learning.

A good model score is not the end of the job. You should be able to explain three things: why your test data is like the data the model will see later, how you dealt with missing values, and what a wrong "yes" costs the business. A strong first project takes an analysis you already understand and turns it into a tested prediction tool. Ask for feedback on your business advice, not just on your code. If you want to move towards building data pipelines, also compare AI courses for data engineers.

08 FEES WITHOUT SURPRISES

How Much Do Data Science Courses Cost?

I compare all-in cost because an affordable instalment can hide an expensive commitment. I separate a provider quote from illustrative arithmetic; these bands and GST assumptions are not verified invoices.

One-Time Fees vs Monthly Subscriptions

I compare a fixed cohort fee with a subscription by estimating the time to completion, because delays change the latter’s cost. Using the listed ₹2,099 monthly Coursera Plus figure, 12 payments equal ₹25,188 [ILLUSTRATIVE]. The official ₹13,999 annual plan is a different checkout, not the same monthly plan. Confirm catalogue eligibility, tax and renewal before comparing them.

At an illustrative USD 249/month, Udacity costs USD 996 for four months or USD 1,992 for eight, before tax, exchange-rate movement and bank charges. A busy quarter can double an expected bill without adding a single new project. Set renewal reminders and retain the receipt showing the next charge date.

For PAP, use an invented agreement only to understand the arithmetic: 15% of annual income for three years would mean ₹2.25L at ₹5L salary or ₹4.5L at ₹10L salary, before any threshold or cap [ILLUSTRATIVE; not Masai terms]. Compare both with an upfront quote. A real contract may define eligible income differently and require monthly payments.

Additional Costs: Taxes, Exams, Cloud Credits and AI Tools

I keep tax assumptions explicit: the calculator uses an illustrative 18% GST (see current CBIC GST rates) when GST is excluded, not a verified provider tax policy. LogicMojo’s ₹65,000 is listed as GST-inclusive in its fee block — check the official fee section. An advertised “no-cost EMI” may still involve a processing charge — the RBI has warned that the interest element of zero-percent EMI schemes is often passed on as a processing fee. Also ask about lender conditions and what happens if you leave the course.

Ask whether datasets, compute credits, exam attempts and certificate delivery are included. If an immersion is optional, separate it from the mandatory fee but keep it in your personal study budget.

09 THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE

Live vs Self-Paced Data Science Courses: What Are You Paying For?

I judge delivery by what happens when you get stuck. A live class, recording and personal review solve different problems; the entitlement matters more than the format label. Schedules and support policies are provider-stated; confirm them for your batch.

Live Classes and Scheduled Doubt Sessions

I value live time when an instructor watches a learner debug a join, challenge a hypothesis test or explain an implausible metric. It creates pacing and a chance to expose misunderstandings early. A streaming lecture with no meaningful questions is still mostly content delivery, even if it occurs at a fixed time.

Attend a sample class from the actual programme, not only a sales webinar — LogicMojo books mentor calls on request. Ask the instructor’s name, batch size, frequency of hands-on exercises and what happens to a doubt not answered before the session ends. An honest provider should be able to describe the queue and the follow-up route.

Self-Paced Lessons and Flexible Study

I recommend self-paced learning when you can sustain practice despite an unpredictable schedule. Its weakness is not video itself; it is the missing deadline and missing reviewer. A Science study of Harvard and MIT edX courses found low completion rates had not improved over six years. Create a completion calendar, budget subscription renewals and recruit a peer to challenge your project decisions.

Cheap per month can be expensive per finished course. If work interruptions are likely, evaluate annual billing carefully and check whether cancellation preserves access until the paid period ends (Udacity documents this). Save your own work outside temporary lab environments. Never assume a course forum supplies booked individual feedback.

Hybrid Programs with Mentorship and Project Reviews

I judge a hybrid course by the handoff from a recorded concept to feedback on your own mistakes. Hybrid quality depends on the connection between the two. Ask whether the mentor sees your actual SQL and notebooks, how long a review takes and whether you can revise after receiving comments.

LogicMojo’s provider-stated live-plus-1:1 model is the provisional fit for working professionals who need catch-up recordings without giving up human feedback (lifetime access to recordings is provider-stated). ISB Online and upGrad offer a different balance of recorded teaching and scheduled contact. Judge each by a sample review, not by the word “mentorship”. For more options, compare GenAI courses for working professionals and online AI bootcamps.

For most beginners, structure is the product — a data science course you finish returns more than a cheaper one you abandon.
10 BUILD REAL CAPABILITY

What Should You Learn and Build in a Data Science Course?

I assess a syllabus by the decisions a learner can explain independently. The checks below connect foundations to model evaluation and deployment; they are technical assessment criteria, not a claim that every listed provider teaches them.

A data science workstation with a Python notebook and analytical charts
From a notebook to a decision. From a model to a working application.

Python, Mathematics and Machine Learning Foundations

My foundations check includes Python functions and debugging; pandas/NumPy; SQL joins, window functions and CTEs; probability, sampling, confidence intervals and hypothesis tests; A/B experiments; cleaning, visualisation and storytelling (what is data science?); Excel/BI basics. Each needs practice on imperfect data rather than only demonstrations.

Watch for the omissions: duplicate keys that multiply rows (hashing and keys), missingness with a business meaning, inconsistent timestamps, test data accidentally used during feature selection and dashboards with no decision attached. Ask the provider for an assignment where the learner must diagnose the problem before selecting a tool.

A practical Python assessment should include a reusable function (DSA in Python), an informative exception and a test on unexpected input. If every exercise runs on a clean teaching dataset, ask for a second dataset with missing values, inconsistent types and duplicated entities. The aim is not clever syntax. It is a result another person can reproduce without guessing which notebook cell you ran first.

For SQL, work from grain before writing joins (and know when an index matters). Is each row an order, an order item, a customer or a payment? Joining two tables at different grains can inflate revenue even when the query runs perfectly. Use grouped counts and reconciliation totals to detect that mistake. Window functions should answer real questions such as repeat purchases, moving averages and ranking within a region; CTEs should make the intermediate reasoning readable.

Statistics becomes useful when it changes a decision. In an A/B test, define the randomisation unit, primary metric, minimum meaningful effect and stopping rule before examining results. Distinguish statistical significance from commercial importance, and acknowledge uncertainty. Ask whether the course grades the experimental design and interpretation, not just the calculation of a p-value (see the ASA statement on p-values).

EDA should produce a question worth answering, not a gallery of charts. Examine data provenance, coverage, time range and selection bias (big data analytics magnifies it). A missing value may mean “not collected” rather than zero; a sudden jump may be a tracking change rather than growth. A good narrative explains what the evidence supports, what it cannot establish and what information would change the recommendation.

I look for feature engineering, supervised/unsupervised learning and evaluation before advanced-model branding. Add imbalance, leakage, explainability, time series and recommenders before treating deep learning as a shortcut.

Deep Learning, Generative AI and Agentic AI Specializations

Once those foundations hold, I look for specialisation with evaluation built in. NLP and transformers lead into LLMs, prompting, embeddings and RAG; MLOps connects all of this to versioning, serving, monitoring and safe change. For agentic AI, check that tool calling, planning and multi-step runs are tested and logged before an agent demo is treated as a portfolio piece.

Portfolio Projects, Evaluation and Deployment

I suggest five purposeful project types, not a universal course entitlement: SQL/Python business analysis with a dashboard; an A/B test with a recommendation; messy-data ML with explainability; forecasting or recommendations; a deployed model or GenAI data assistant (more project ideas). The repository should contain a README, data provenance, environment setup, evaluation and limitations.

Three projects you designed, debugged and deployed beat twelve copy-along notebooks.
11 EVIDENCE, NOT PROMISES

Data Science Certificates and Career Support: What Is Included?

I keep three forms of evidence separate: a certificate names an award, a project demonstrates work, and a placement agreement defines services. Combining them into a promise of employment would mislead a learner.

Placement Assistance vs Placement Guarantees

I read assistance as a defined service—coaching, referrals or listings—not an employment outcome. Job assurance is a conditional marketing/contract term — India’s CCPA coaching-advertisement guidelines bar false guaranteed-selection and success-rate claims — whose remedy and exclusions must be read. PAP/ISA is a financial agreement triggered by defined income or employment, not free education and not proof of a job guarantee.

  • What percentage of enrolled learners—not only completers—were placed?
  • Over which time window, and when did the clock start?
  • What was the median CTC, not only the average or highest?
  • Were the jobs data roles or any technology role?
  • Can I speak to two alumni not selected as sales testimonials?

Also ask about attendance, minimum CTC, permitted cities, offer acceptance, repayment caps and tenure. This page does not report provider placement percentages or salary averages as fact. A refusal to disclose the denominator is a reason to withhold trust, not a reason to guess a number (AI courses with placement in MNCs and startups apply the same test).

I leave salary bands as placeholders until current public-market sources — AmbitionBox, Glassdoor India, PayScale India, Indeed India and Naukri — are checked. They are not provider outcomes. Compare city, experience, base salary versus total CTC and the observation date; sparse role samples should not be presented as reliable national estimates. LogicMojo’s data scientist salary and data analyst salary guides are background reading, not course outcomes.

Market context, not a course outcome: NASSCOM reports that demand for data science and AI professionals in India has doubled in the past three to five years. The World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025 lists AI and big data as the fastest-growing skill area and names Big Data Specialists and AI and Machine Learning Specialists among the fastest-growing roles. In the US, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 34% employment growth for data scientists from 2024 to 2034. None of these figures predicts what any single course will do for you.

12 THE VALUE DECISION

What Should You Check Before Paying for a Data Science Course?

I turn a counselling call into a written evidence request. Specific answers reveal what you will receive; urgency, logos and testimonial volume do not. My checks below help you inspect the promise before committing money.

Check the Instructor, Sample Class and Latest Syllabus

I ask who teaches the actual cohort and what attributable data-science work supports their expertise. Attend a sample coding class rather than only an overview. Request a syllabus last-updated date and the assessed assignments for SQL, statistics, ML, deployment and GenAI; one overview lecture is not depth.

Check the early workload before payment: setup, reading, class time, practice and revision. A schedule that fits on a sales slide may not fit alongside a commute, family commitments or release deadlines. Ask how an unfinished assignment is handled and how missed classes affect progression.

During the sample, notice whether learners explain their reasoning or only watch the instructor type. Ask one concrete question about a wrong assumption and see how it is handled. The class should make room for uncertainty without shaming beginners. That is a better signal of a sustainable learning environment than a polished overview full of tool names.

Request a sample assignment and its evaluation rubric. Look for criteria covering correctness, assumptions, reproducibility and communication. Ask who evaluates a revision and whether reviewers can see the learner’s previous feedback. This turns the promise of “projects” into a service you can inspect before enrolment.

Review Student Projects and Verify Outcome Claims

I request learner-owned repositories and working demos because a screenshot cannot show reproducibility or ownership. LogicMojo’s official course page links learner GitHub repositories — for example a 2025 cohort repository — as a checkable provider showcase, not independent proof of outcomes. Check commit history, README quality and whether the learner can explain the work. An attractive screenshot alone is weak evidence.

Use LinkedIn alumni searches for relevant data titles, but avoid treating every profile change as a course-caused result. Ask the five placement questions above and seek specific role/background matches (reviews ranked by learners are a starting list, not proof). Testimonials should have real names, attributable profiles and permission — the CCPA coaching guidelines require written consent — and none are invented on this page.

  • Exaggerated claim: “95% placed” without enrolled learners, time window or role type.
  • Unverifiable review: no name, profile, course or date.
  • Inflated salary: highest or average CTC without a median.
  • Outdated curriculum: GenAI listed without assessed retrieval, evaluation or deployment work.
  • Weak project: a copied notebook on clean data with no README or decisions.
  • Missing foundations: ML before SQL joins, probability or experiment design.

Placement assistance means services such as mocks, résumé review or referrals. A placement guarantee is a contractual promise with defined remedies and exclusions. Verify reports, recruiter relationships and policies in writing; logos are not proof of hiring partnerships. Advertising claims are also covered by the ASCI Code.

Confirm Refunds, EMI Terms and Course Access in Writing

I request the refund cut-off, deductions, processing period and current policy link before paying — for example LogicMojo, Imarticus, Intellipaat, HCL GUVI and Udacity. The Coursera monthly trial/annual refund terms come from the official Coursera Plus page (7-day monthly trial; 14-day annual refund); do not apply a general trial claim to a different subscription. Certificate issuance can change refund eligibility.

Determine whether EMI is an instalment arrangement with the provider or an NBFC loan; you can check a lender’s RBI registration. Stopping classes may not stop debt repayment — an EMI through a loan partner (ISB Online quotes loan-partner EMIs, for instance) is a separate contract with the lender. Ask the lender name, total payable amount (the Key Fact Statement), processing charges, cancellation route and loan-closure evidence. For PAP, obtain the full agreement, salary definition, threshold, cap and tenure.

Record the expiry dates for recordings, labs, mentor access and career services. Ask about pauses, transfers, fees and availability of a later cohort. Save the policy version and date with your receipt so a later website change does not erase the agreement you relied on.

Published windows differ: LogicMojo’s policy allows a full refund only within seven days of the batch start (the first two classes); Imarticus’s policy refunds only before the course starts, less registration and a ₹5,000 administration fee; Intellipaat treats joint-certification programmes as generally non-refundable, considering exceptions only within seven days of purchase; Udacity refunds a subscription only if you cancel within seven days of the first monthly payment. Policies change, so save the version you rely on. If a written commitment is not honoured, the National Consumer Helpline handles complaints.

13 A BETTER BUYING DECISION

Final Verdict: Which Data Science Course Should You Choose?

My provisional live-learning pick is LogicMojo when structure and feedback are your priorities. I explain alternatives because a different budget, credential need or starting level can change the recommendation. Verify commercial terms before paying.

You pay for teaching, feedback, sequence and accountability—not a promised job. Shortlist two courses, attend one sample class each (book a LogicMojo mentor call), run the 12-point checklist and get total fee and refund terms in writing. If AI engineering or GenAI is your real goal, compare LogicMojo’s AI & ML course, GenAI & Agentic AI course and the guide to becoming an AI engineer.
